Colic (Part 2)- How to cope with colicky baby...


Here are some guide on how to deal with colicky baby which effective to my daughter. However, different baby may react differently, but there's certainly no harm trying ;) I hope this post will help you..

  1. Firstly I will check on the bottle, whether the anti-colic is working or not. Good bottle will give proper air in and out channel to avoid colic.
  2. Make sure that your baby's head slightly higher than his body so that the milk travel smoothly into his tummy.
  3. Make sure that you burp your baby every time after feeding. Based on my experience, my baby will be less colic if she burp every feeding.
  4. Give gripe water to your baby to soothe his colicky tummy. This step may sometime, not working to my baby.
  5. I will do the baby bicycle to my colicky baby. Simply by putting my baby on her back and move her leg with cycling motion. My baby will usually fart at this time.
  6. Give pacifier to your baby as a step to comfort her. Letting baby cry for a long time will make things worse as baby crying, he/she may breath more air and make colic even worse.
