Wearing seat belt during pregnancy...

Previously when I was pregnant, I was worry about my belly when it comes to using seat belt... Actually, in order for you to protect your baby, you must protect yourself first. The most important thing is that how you fasten your seat belt. During pregnancy, seat belt must be positioned safely every time you're in a car.

According to Ann Linden, (certified nurse-midwife), the lap belt should be secured below your belly, low and snug on your hipbones. You should never wear the belt across or above your belly because if the car crash, it will cause your placenta to tear away from the uterus.

You should also use the shoulder belt which should fit snugly between your breasts. You shouldn't place the shoulder belt under your arm or behind your back. Picture of how to use seat belt during pregnancy... Happy Driving...
